Click on the apple icon in the upper left hand corner.
Check The System Status Of Icloud Contacts, Calendars Or Reminders For Services Outages Or Connection Issues.
Tap merge to include all existing local calendars on your iphone.
If Calendars Is Toggled Off, Toggle It On.
